Projectile Dodge
Your awareness of the battlefield allows you to anticipate the pathways that a projectile will take Time: Reaction Target: A missile, torpedo, mine, or asteroid that would hit you.
Make a Perception Check. If the check equals or exceeds the attack result, you negate the attack. If the attack would retarget you next turn (such as a missile or torpedo), it suffers a -5 penalty to hit.
Combat Awareness
It is difficult to catch you by surprise Time: Reaction (to your starship being flat-footed) Target: Your starship
Make a Perception Check. If you succeed on a DC 15 check, your starship cannot be flat-footed until the end of your next turn. You may use this Tactic even during the surprise round.
Foresight
You had anticipated an event, and had prepared for it ahead of time. Time: Reaction Target: A starship other than yours that is taking an action
Make a Perception Check. If your check equals or exceeds the target’s Reflex Defense, you may interrupt the target’s current action with an action that costs two swift actions or fewer.
Emergency Tilt
Realizing that your starship was about to receive a debilitating hit, you tilt your starship to redirect the damage. Time: Reaction (to an attack that would push your starship down the condition track) Target: Your starship.
Make an Perception Check. If you would succeed on a DC 20 Initiative check, you may choose which side of your starship is damaged by the attack the attack. You may use this Tactic even when you’ve used a different reaction against the attack.
Defensive Superiority
You fly close to a starship, making it difficult for others to target you. Time: Free action (when your starship is Flying Defensively) Target: You
Make a Perception Check. The result of the check determines the effect:
DC 15: Until the start of your next turn, you only suffer a cumulative -4 penalty to Pilot checks for each subsequent use of Starship Dodge since your last turn.
DC 20: As DC 15, except the penalty decreases to -3.
DC 25: As DC 15, except the penalty decreases to -2
DC 30: As DC 15, except the penalty decreases to -1
